The quotum machine

A bench that shows how a seat on quotum works. A hopper at the back collects the trading tax all day and a trough carries it to a sight glass. A rack of a hundred pegs holds the seats, the lit ones live. A dial reads today's cap per seat. A bell hangs from a gallows with a rope to a lever. Under the bell a brazier: at 20:00 UTC the bell rings, what the seats left unspent drains from the glass into the brazier and burns.
